Text proof
Small sizes test legibility; large sizes test texture.
Skeleton first
Each letter is a list of primitives in a normalized cap box: polylines, rings, arcs and interior dots. Weight, width and slant act on that box, so ⵔ stays a true circle at width 1.0 and becomes an ellipse when condensed, while ⴰ and ⵓ keep their small rings and ⵙ keeps its centred dot.
Joints and terminals
Every stroke end is tested against the other strokes. Ends that land on a stroke are joints and stay quiet; the rest are terminals that receive the sharp, rounded or flared treatment and the display ornaments. Sharp ends are cut flat on the baseline and cap height, like signage lettering.
Marks
ⵯ is a spacing modifier drawn as a small raised cup. ⵰ is a spacing separator that dips below the baseline. ⵿ has zero advance and sits under the preceding consonant; the exported font maps it but does not build bi-consonant ligatures.
